The Arab Culture Association annually organizes for all the Galilee Foundation Scholarship students a “This is my country” tour to one of the Palestinian cities and villages so they can get closely acquainted with these places. They learn the local history, the stories of people and places and the impact of the Nakba on them, as well as how this all links to the issues of the present. The learn in an informal manner, as they explore in groups along the alleys and between houses and their ruins.
This year, very recently, the students went on a tour of Jerusalem, starting in Sheikh Jarah Al- Samad and on to the walls of the old town. The weather was sunny and the views were stunning.
Among the previous tours that the students have participated in include: Ain Ghazal, Haifa, Jerusalem and its villages, Jaffa and others.
