We are proud to welcome 97 new students who joined the Scholarship Programme this year, and wish the best to our graduates after an enjoyable three year journey, packed with enriching training and cultural activities!
In addition to the training workshops we provide for our students, this year we launched ‘Darb’ – an academic accompaniment programme – which provides fresher year students with much needed support to enable them to overcome the challenges of their first year at Israeli universities. The mentors for Darb are also Galilee students in their second or third year in the Scholarship Programme and they support their fellow fresher year students by providing them with academic and social support, and by passing on the knowledge and skills they have obtained since starting the Programme.
This academic year, our 250 students have participated in several training workshops and cultural activities, including:
- Time Management
- Preparation for Exams
- Public Speaking
- Critical Thinking
- Debating Skills
- Literature Reading – during which they read and discussed The Tragedy of Mr Matar, a novel by the young and emerging author Majd Kayyal, for which he won the A.M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Writer of the Year Award for the year 2016.
Below we share with you some of the photos from this academic year’s activities.
