April 11th was a fun lunch/supper (depending on your time zone) with a plate of butternut squash fatteh, an audience with Chef Reem Kassis and a chance to defeat lockdown and dine with old and new friends.
Keen cooks pre-prepared and cooked the butternut squash fatteh from the recipe Reem provided from her upcoming cookbook, and then logged in to Instagram Live to see how Reem would turn it out on a plate and to learn how she became a chef.
The meal was enjoyed while chatting to Reem and comparing, with some humour, the myriad ways the recipe had turned out in different kitchens despite following instructions rigorously.
Thank you so much to all those who joined us at this event. We do hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
If you haven’t seen all the pictures, or the interview with Reem, you can find them on our Instagram highlights.
Thank you also to those who donated. If you would still like to donate to our
Covid-19 appeal, you can still do so here. Or at least tell your friends and share on your social media the work we do, we would really appreciate it.
Without our supporters, we would not be able to educate and empower Palestinians, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And please do join us for the next virtual event.
